Had a couple of weekends when the girls were in France with James. I took the Mondays off to do stuff with Jim, and it was lovely to spend a chunk of time with him - I don't get to do that very often. There was some chilled time in the sun - we actually ate outside and filled the paddling pool!
And some indoor activity (Jim's photos!):
Then on the Monday went to Duxford to see the big planes:
The following weekend I had him for a slightly shorter time, but decided to try the science museum in London. He wanted to go on a double decker bus so we got one from Russell Square to Trafalgar Square before getting on the tube again to the museum. We walked a lot but he responds very well to journeys like that, and got plenty out of the museum. There's still not enough interactive stuff in it and he will find more in it in a few years' time but it was still worth the trip. I just liked doing a journey with him.
