Noroweekend

No Jim on Friday as he was at his school disco (he won a prize for his dancing apparently) This was probably a good thing as Minnie walked in the door and immediately honked her guts up. Caroline, and to a small extent, I, cleared up the horrid mess. Minnie took it in her stride as usual. Amy got an immediate case of verbal diarrhoea.

Had a slobbish weekend really. Lots of screen based entertainment, and a cold walk on Sunday. Oh, and Minnie got nits. Again.

Saw Rob and Andrea, which was excellent. They came for dinner on Sunday eve amidst a certain amount of child-related chaos.  C feeling pretty grotty,  and she retired early. Spent all night and the whole of the next day puking - norovirus suspected. Me in charge on Monday, so I took Jim and Min to Pizza Hut. They were very good, apart from Minnie inevitably having to go to the toylett halfway through the meal. It was a bit of a nostalgia trip for me as they played a lot of late 80's music in there, including some Deacon Blue which immediately reminded me of being in there with Duncan in the olden days. Afterwards went to Toys r Us and bought Lego for all. C available for dooty on Tuesday but not well enough for me to go to work. Another uneventful day, apart from a brief and fairly unenthusiastic trip to the park. Tough weekend, but I still felt bereft to drop the little fellow off at Exning. He has been bouncy and full of life all weekend. Told me a joke this evening on the way to his mum's:

Why did the man go to sleep under his leaky old car?

Because he wanted to wake up oily.

Do you get it, daddy? "Oily" sounds a bit like "early".
